Emma Verdonik
Emma, a young aspiring writer, has several valuable years of screenwriting experience under her belt. Her journey started as an intern working and learning the delicate art of giving script feedback under the instruction of Braxton Rickert. Emma, after finding a love for learning the ins and outs of a script, turned her three-month internship with Braxton into a yearlong learning experience.
Shortly after Emma’s internship with Braxton ended, she was hired as a literary manager’s assistant at Untitled Entertainment where she worked on the desk to the head of the literary department. The same day Emma was offered this job she was accepted into Loyola Marymount University’s MFA Writing for the Screen program (a top 5 film school). Emma deferred and chose to work in the industry for another year and a half. She collaborated with writers and directors from all over the world during the time she was with Untitled Entertainment. She also continued to learn and hone the craft she so valued, giving script feedback. Over time, she became trusted to give feedback to clients directly, forming strong bonds with the professional writers and directors she worked with every day.
Emma has now just finished her first year at LMU’s Writing for the Screen MFA program, with two more years remaining. She is writing many scripts on her own and through her classes taught by professional writers and directors currently working in the industry. She also works as a graduate assistant to the head of her program.
